Over a Decade of Experience
Building Bridges to the Arab World

Arabesque has been building bridges between Ireland and the Arab World since 2012.

Among the events we have organized have been the Arabic Language Day  celebrations in Dublin since 2017, as well as other cultural events, meetups and festivals.

We are a multi-cultural hub, a relaxed friendly environment for creativity, understanding, fun & exchange of ideas!

The Arab World famously stretches from the Atlantic to the Gulf. It has a population of about 425 million people, growing at 2% per year.

Ireland and the Arab World

Ireland, with a population of nearly 5 million people, has a long and distinguished history of emigration. But recently, it has come to welcome a vibrant immigrant community, including over 60 000 Arabs.

Arabic Language Day

UN Arabic Language Day , established by the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2010, is observed annually on December 18. It seeks "to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity as well as to promote equal use of all six of its official working languages throughout the organization". On December 18, the General Assembly of the United Nations approved Arabic as an official UN language in 1973.
Arabesque has been organizing the Arabic Language Day celebrations in Dublin since 2017.

Learn about Arab Culture and the Arabic Language

Arabesque hosts workshops on topics ranging from Arabic caligraphy to Arab cuisine cooking.

It also provides a platform for meeting Arabic speakers and promotes the study of the Arabic language.
